Academy Part 1
- Good questions came up in regard to the importance of vendors developing native integrations
- Feedback on materials and session was very positive.
- Main focus of the session was to help newbies understand what ed-fi is, what it does and why.
Academy Part 2
- Demonstration of the Ed-Fi Platform installation and its components was done in detail following the tech doc instructions
- Good questions from the audience which indicated that the information was helpful and expressed the need for a more detail course for training.

Emilio Baez presented an overview of Data Import including how it works with legacy CSV data and imports into Ed-Fi APIs. Emilio provided a live demonstration of newly released Data Import 1.3 for Docker, including running in non-Windows environments and Postgres support. He provided a demonstration of a sample state assessment CSV import, using the CSV to Ed-Fi API mapping features within Data Import and running a live import to show the results.
